Compound Management and high throughput screening can both be impacted by incomplete compound dissolution as well as precipitation, the latter occurring on storage or after addition of aqueous buffer. To date, mixing and dissolution have been performed using vortexing, sonication or centrifugation. However, all these methods have drawbacks.
Protocol for: DNA Shearing with microTUBEs (<1.5kb fragments) S220/E220 Part Number 010305
Poster presented at AACR Annual Meeting, 2016 We have evaluated the Adaptive Focused Acoustics (AFA™) system by Covaris as a method for obtaining high molecular weight DNA suitable for SMRTbell template preparation and subsequent single molecule sequencing. Using this method, genomic DNA was extracted from normal kidney FFPE scrolls acquired from Cooperative Human Tissue Network (CHTN), […]
Phenobarbital Mediates an Epigenetic Switch at the Constitutive Androstane Receptor (CAR) Target Gene Cyp2b10 in the Liver of B6C3F1 Mice
Here, we evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of genome-wide epigenomic and transcriptomic profiling in phenobarbital (PB)-treated B6C3F1 mice, a well-characterized rodent model of non-genotoxic liver carcinogenesis.
Directional RNA deep sequencing sheds new light on the transcriptional response of Anabaena sp. strain PCC 7120 to combined-nitrogen deprivation
We have employed directional RNA-seq to map the Anabaena transcriptome during vegetative cell growth and in response to combined-nitrogen deprivation, which induces filaments to undergo heterocyst development. Our data provide an unprecedented view of transcriptional changes in Anabaena filaments during the induction of heterocyst development and transition to diazotrophic growth.
We recently reported that (2R,3R,4R,5R)-2-(4-amino-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-7-yl)-3-ethynyl-5-hydroxy-methyl-tetrahydro-furan-3,4-diol is a potent inhibitor of dengue virus (DENV), with 50% effective concentration (EC50) and cytotoxic concentration (CC50) values of 0.7 μM and >100 μM, respectively. Here we describe the synthesis, structure-activity relationship, and antiviral characterization of the inhibitor.
Identification of factors required for meristem function in Arabidopsis using a novel next generation sequencing fast forward genetics approach
We demonstrated that the ‘fast forward genetics’ procedure efficiently identifies a small number of testable candidate mutations. As the approach is independent of genome size, it can be applied to any model system of interest. Furthermore, we show that experiments can be multiplexed and easily scaled for the identification of multiple individual mutants in a […]
