Active paraffin removal in an aqueous buffer
Simple, fast and scalable workflow
Seamless integration with NGS applications
Formalin Fixation and Paraffin Embedding (FFPE) of tissues is rapidly being adopted for routine molecular diagnostics. The extreme formaldehyde fixation and tissue dehydration of FFPE preserved tissue presents not only a technical challenge to reproducible DNA and RNA extraction, but also a workflow challenge in a routine setting.
Covaris supplies a complete range of products to enable the highest quality extraction of DNA and RNA of FFPE tissues, using Adaptive Focused Acoustics (AFA) for active paraffin removal and tissue rehydration. This results in Nucleic Acids that can be used for the most challenging applications such as Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), with improved library complexity when compared to traditional methods.
